National Domestic Violence Hotline

The National Domestic Violence Hotline is a non-profit organization established in 1996 as a component of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). The Hotline is part of the largest nationwide network of programs and expert resources and regularly shares insight about domestic violence with government officials, law enforcement agencies, media and the general public.

CALCASA was created by rape crisis centers from across the state interested in creating a unified voice to advocate on behalf of the statewide needs of survivors, system’s change, funding needs and policy advocacy.
 

 

Battered Women’s Justice Project (BWJP)

BWJP works to improve the civil and criminal justice system’s response to intimate partner violence (IPV), as well as addressing the parallel responses of the military services to IPV among their ranks. BWJP offers training, technical assistance, policy analysis, and consultation on the most promising practices of the criminal and civil justice systems in addressing intimate partner violence.

An online resource to address sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking is supported by the Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women in collaboration with its designated Campus Program Technical Assistance Provider Team. The Center has worked collaboratively and sought guidance from experts to provide important resources for colleges and universities on sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.

Our mission is to use yoga as a healing tool to support and empower individuals impacted by domestic violence and trauma. We bring trauma-informed yoga into domestic violence shelters and offer programs for women and children, as well as offer free one-on-one yoga for survivors, host survivor empowerment retreats, workshops and trauma informed yoga teacher trainings.
